Found this gem on FB marketplace for $500. Messaged the guy on Thursday about coming to see it on Saturday. Saturday comes and he has to work, but will get back to me Saturday evening. That’s the last anyone ever heard from him. Boo.
I wanted to make my Gambler dreams come true, and if I bonded with it/it turned out to be in nice enough shape, make it fast with a junkyard LQ4.
Sigh.

I needs center console and overhead console from a blazer after you gambled it :)
If you get it that is. :\

If I Gamble it, I'd do so gently so I can build it into a drag car afterwards. I wanna go fast for cheap.

A 2 door Blazer with a V8 swap was my dream car when I was a young Snuze.
Now I want to see someone do one with a 3800 V6 (out of an F-body) with the supercharger off a Grand Prix GTP 3800. The LQ4 is probably easier for the power you’d end up with, but the V6 would be a lot weirder. And I like weird.

Except the opposite. Usually it’s not the seller who ghosts. :/

I’ve got it in my brain that I could do a 10s for $5k challenge with it. $500 for the blazer, $1000 for an LQ, $1000 to get it running and sorted, I’ve already got a low mileage RWD 80E and LS stand-alone harness sitting in the shed, and $2500 for a Chineses turbo kit or nitrous , Explorer 8.8 with 4.10s, caltracs and sticky tires.

I’ve had a seller ghost me over some Volvo wheels I was trying to buy from him.

I think you’re on to something there, that sounds like a great recipe to get into 10s.
I’m hoping this spring to sell my 850 and buy an older 240 to start messing with. The 8.8 swaps are popular for those cars so I’ve been reading up on those axles a lot lately. The factory Torsen is sweet, though probably not ideal for drag racing.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, I can quit at anytime ...

Adding the blower from the GTP or Regal GS is easier said than done. It would probably be easier to mount a GTP engine longitudinally (also not easy).
A lternatively, just throw some Ebay turbo parts at it and call it a day. The 3800 can take it.

It would probably be a little bit cheaper to buy a dirt cheap rcsb 98 Silverado with the 4.8 and throw gobs of boost at it. Toss in the 4l80e when the 4l60e grenades.

“Dirt cheap” and RCSB stopped cohabitating within sentences a while ago. Plus, HEAVY! I’ve already got one really slow LS-powered behemoth! ;)
I think the cheapest I’ve found a decent GMT800 RCSB in recent history was around $8,500.
